The weather outside is frightful.  But we don’t mind.  It’s quite beautiful with the fresh snowfall.  We’ve been hoping for more snow all winter.  It’s been very mild through December, January and so far in February.  But now we’ve had 35″ of new snow in the past few days.

The place we’re looking after is on the East side of Lake Tahoe, just north of Stateline in Nevada.  We have a great view of the lake and it’s close to Heavenly, one of the largest ski resorts in the area.  This allows us to indulge our enjoyment for skiing as well.  The new snow has really improved the skiing.  So our timing couldn’t have been better for a two week visit to Lake Tahoe.
